Vladimir began his musical career in his hometown of Split, Croatia, as a classically trained piano player. Soon, Vladimir discovered the magic of acoustic and electric guitar and became the most sought after local guitar player. Mastering guitar and piano stimulated Vladimir to sing and highlight his voice as a unique talent. A tenor was born and under the guidance of professor Branka Ristic, Vladimir is now one of the leading tenors in Croatia and the surrounding region.
True to his roots in Dalmatian “Klapa” (a capella) singing, Vladimir started his vocal career as a leading tenor in Klapa Cambi Split. Winning numerous festival awards, Cambi Split became the first Klapa ever to win 2012 Porin (Croatian Grammy) Award for the best pop album and the first Klapa to sell out a stadium show.
Vladimir’s career reached a milestone in 2010, when he became an associate tenor in the Croatian National Theatre (HNK-Croatian acronym) and in 2011 he had his first major solo opera role as Lovre Juranic in opera Nikola Subic Zrinjski by Ivan Zajc. Since then, Vladimir has estabilished himself as a leading tenor in every major operatic performance in HNK.
In 2016, Vladimir performed for the first time with a newly formed pop operatic group 4 Tenors, a collaboration of Croatia’s finest voices. Success was immediate; both critical and commercial. Today, 4 tenors is a must see concert in the Balkans region, with Vladimir as an essential part of their success.
